Dear parents/carers,
Thank you for your support this week, we are really pleased with the level of student engagement on Show My Homework. Thank you so much to parents and carers who are supporting their children to enable them to access and complete their classwork from home. Students are producing some great work and are generally keeping up with their learning very well. As we said last week, we don’t want our young people or our parents/ carers to feel anxious about the current situation, please just encourage your child to try their best with their school work. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any support with any issues, including those relating to school work.
Online safety
Our new way of teaching obviously means students are now spending more time on line that ever before. Our young people are probably frequently using apps such as Houseparty, Snapchat and TikTok to communicate with their friends. With that in mind, we have updated our website with increased online safety advice for parents. The links below also provide useful information on how to support your child in staying safe on line:

Safeguarding
If you have any concerns relating to online safeguarding or other safeguarding worries please use the email address [email protected] to report these to the LFCD Safeguarding Team which includes our Designated Safeguarding Lead Mrs Hornby, Assistant Principal Ms Percival, Vice Principal Mr Andrews and me. You can also email these staff directly.
Easter holiday
As we approach the College’s Easter break, I wanted to make you aware that the College will be completely closed on Good Friday (10 April) and Easter Monday (13 April). From Tuesday, 14 April until Monday, 20 April we will only be open for the children of key workers. During the Easter break (10 April – 20 April) teachers will not be setting work for students and we will not be expecting students to complete work. We think it is important that students do get a break from their school work.
Thanks again for your support during these unprecedented times, we really appreciate it.
Take care, stay at home and stay safe,
Alison Brannick
Principal
