Dear parents/carers,
As we come to the Easter holiday it is time to close the home school and for parents/ carers and students to take a well-earned break! Thank you so much for your support in ensuring our young people are able to continue learning. We are very impressed with the work our students are completing at home. This week I have asked teachers to share with me the names of students who are working exceptionally well and putting consistent effort into their studies. I have received over 300 recommendations for students who deserve praise! This is fantastic and shows the commitment of our school community. I will be writing to each one of the young people over the Easter break.
The College closed for the Easter break at the end of the day yesterday and we will reopen for children of key workers and vulnerable young people only on Monday, 20 April. During the Easter holiday you can still make contact with us via the form on our home page.
On Monday, 20 April BBC Bitesize is launching daily lessons online and via a dedicated TV channel. More information can be found on their website. This is a very interesting development and I would urge you to have a look at the resources that become available. We have contacted Year 11 and Year 13 students today to share the work we will be setting for them after the break.

As we have said previously, we don’t expect students to complete any school work over the Easter holiday. We hope you and your family have a safe and restful Easter break. Happy Easter!
Take care and stay safe,
Alison Brannick
Principal
