Students attained 40% A*-A grades, and 95% A*-C grades in A Level courses, whilst achievement was also very pleasing, with a significantly positive value-added score. The standard Sixth Form working day runs from 8.30am to 3.20pm with an additional session that runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. This is for enrichment activities,although you might also have an extra session at that time. All of your tutors work until 4.30pm, so there is always time to meet with them after timetabled sessions have finished, to seek extra advice and support. Furthermore, the Information Centre is open until 4.25pm Monday to Thursday, so you can remain at College to study.
In Year 12, five hours per week are dedicated to each main curriculum subject, with a further hour per week for the compulsory core programme which includes Careers support. A typical student, who is studying the equivalent at 3 A Levels in Year 12, will have up to 14 hours for personal study each week.
