Landau Forte SCITT is an accredited Initial Teacher Training provider in the city of Derby. The SCITT is owned by Landau Forte College Derby, a school which offers outstanding education to students from all over the city, at our over-subscribed, diverse academy, in the heart of Derby. We have the leading Progress 8 and Attainment 8 results for GCSE in Derbyshire and are ranked first in the Good Schools Guide (2020).

Our trainee teachers’ benefit from an ambitious SCITT curriculum, high quality subject training and personal well-being support during their training year. This is why they speak so highly about out provision. Our subject specialist training is outstanding and taught in very small groups so trainees really excel in their subject knowledge, which we believe is at the heart of becoming a great teacher.
We are a small SCITT and so we get to know every trainee as an individual. We aim to offer that extra pastoral care to our trainee teachers to help them thrive as a trainee teacher.
We can recommend you for Qualified Teacher Status and, by working in partnership with the University of Derby, you will be awarded PGCE with 60 Master’s level credits. We have a great record of achievement for those graduating into the profession and going on to achieve successful careers in education. 100% of our 2019/20 cohort completed their training and successfully gained employment, which was exceptional.
